SYNOPSIS:

Every ninety years, twelve gods incarnate as humans. They are loved. They are hated. In two years, they are dead. The team behind critical tongue-attractors like Young Avengers and PHONOGRAM reunite to create a world where gods are the ultimate pop stars and pop stars are the ultimate gods. But remember: just because you’re immortal, doesn’t mean you’re going to live forever.

REVIEW

(2 STARS)

"Teenagers reincarnate Gods from different religions" sounded like an interesting premise. But of course, these teenagers are horny and apart from cursing every few words, only think about sex.

We don't know why and how they're chosen; why they only live as Gods for 2 years; what happens upon their deaths and who the hell's in charge.

Sure, the book is colourful and has awesome artwork. But plot-wise, it left much to be desired.

Yes, we get diverse characters and the story had an interesting idea at its core, but it wasn't properly developed.

There's honestly not much else to be said about this. I wanted to like this but couldn't. I won't be getting the next volumes despite wanting to know more about this story, just because I don't think it worth the investment.
